Paris has always been known as the city of fashion. But after COP21 in 2015 (Conference of the Parties or Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change), Paris is known for another aspect as the place where world leaders agreed to work together to tackle global warming. But it will take a few more years until the goals and plans are realized at COP26 in Glasgow, UK, 2021.

“One of Ban Thong Yod’s mission this year is to encourage athletes to keep score so they can compete in the Olympic Paris next year.”

The role of sustainability in the Olympic Badminton perspective

As a school We have also noticed that the society around is Global Warming Aware. environmental issues But in the past, Climate Action hasn’t had much of an impact on the badminton industry.

Partly because over 80% of badminton tournaments are held in Asia, which is not managed with the same resilience as Europe, but America and Australia will join as hosts in 2023, with over 20 tournaments in total. it is clear that the awareness of the importance of participation in the reduction of global warming of all sectors is serious.

With athletes from Europe, they begin to talk more about this. The last example is when it comes to ranking tournaments, you should not move from region to region and vice versa. (Southeast Asia – South Asia – Southeast Asia) is worth both costs and also affects the carbon footprint of the trip.

“As far as Thai badminton circles are concerned, we may not be very careful yet. But the private sector has begun to play a role in the industry, such as sponsoring T-shirts made from recycled plastic bottles. it can be recycled into reusable Graphite. I think from the middle of this year 2023. Then it will be a more serious matter. Striving for Olympic Paris because it was announced that hosting the Summer Games would halve the emissions the Games produce and offset more carbon emissions than they produce.”

Bangchak supports three Thai Olympic badminton players

Coach Ryukzak added that now more foreign athletes come to train at Ban Thong Yod School, especially from Europe and America. Therefore, the school would like to further develop management that cares about the environment and pay more attention to mitigating global warming issues to raise awareness. Start with something simple in your daily life, like cutting back on single-use plastic. Switch to reusable errors.

“Pan Bangchak provided extended support throughout the year. These 9 offset the carbon footprints of fruit from traveling to approximately 20 badminton tournaments, including the daily lives of athletes during 2023 for Nong Vue (Kulwut Vitidsant, badminton player, male, ranked 6th in the world), Nong Mai (Ratchanok Inthanon, Olympic badminton player, No. 8 in the world) and Nong Chiu (Lalinrat Chaiyavan, badminton player, No. 30 in the world) is a good thing that we are very proud of. “

Because this is an important trend that cannot be ignored. This is in line with how we intend to encourage athletes to be more environmentally friendly outside of training and competition, letting them know that they are role models in taking responsibility for global warming. a crisis that everyone is facing. It is believed that especially at the Paris 2024 there will be a commitment to reduce and offset carbon emissions. all serious sportsmen-mathematicians. Coach Pe said the end.

It was estimated that the crowd at the ceremony could exceed 600,000. This will include 100,000 ticket holders and another 500,000 on the high piers above the river from the Pont d’Austerlitz to the Pont d’Ienne, a distance of six kilometers.

About 10,500 athletes from more than 200 countries of the world can potentially take part in the river boat parade. Hidalgo insisted the city was working very, very seriously with French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin and Paris 2024 President Tony Estanguet to plan the Olympic opening ceremony.

“So it will be beautiful, unusual and safe for the athletes who will parade on the boats, as well as for all spectators, Hidalgo added. from our side, and which we carried with Tony Estangue, so that we have spectators who will come to the high embankments.”

Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz-Naranjo will return to the Power and Grace Performance training camp in Lawrenceville, Georgia for two weeks next month to begin preparations for her bid for the fifth consecutive Olympic Games 2024 in Paris, France, in next year.

Babalik po ako sa Power and Grace Performance Camp for two weeks in March. For motivation and a change of scenery, po ba,  Diaz said last week during the national team’s selection for two major overseas matches in May, which were held at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Diaz, who led the women’s 55kg division in Tokyo two years ago, will move down to 59kg and Charrón will drop five kg to try to qualify for the French capital next year under the International Olympic Committee’s revised weight classification for Sport.

Diaz said she and coach husband Julius Naranjo want to bring teammate and Zamboangueña international Rose Guy Ramos to train with her at the famous training camp where she trained for the world tournament in Bogotá, Colombia in December last year.

This work paid huge dividends as Diaz achieved a golden breakthrough by winning three mints in the women’s 55kg category in her sixth appearance at the World Weightlifting Exhibition. Gusto namin at maka-top three si Rose Gie in Paris kaya gusto namin ni Julius at makasama siya in the USA. Kasi ‘yun naman ang ambisyon ng sinumang atleta, di ba? Diaz spoke about Ramos, who competes in the 49 kg category, a competition included in the Paris Games.

Diaz reiterated that she is withdrawing her bid for the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia and the 18th Asian Games in Hangzhou because she is focused on her remaining Olympic Weightlifting  qualifiers, whose schedule is too close to the two international events.

She said that the first qualifying tournament this year will be the 51st Asian Weightlifting Championships, which will be held from May 3 to 13 in Jinju, South Korea, and will be held immediately before the SEA Games in Cambodia, which will be held from May 5 to 17. The Asian Games in Hangzhou will be held from September 23 to October 8. The World Weightlifting Championships, which is also an Olympic Weightlifting  qualification tournament, will take place from 2 to 17 September in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Normal recovery time after a competition is about three months, therefore, she said. After the World Championships in Riyadh, her next competitions will be the IWF Grand Prix in Doha, Qatar in December and the mandatory World Cup competition in Phuket, Thailand in April 2024.
