A total of 340 shooters will take part in the shooting competition in Paris 2024. As host nation, France will contribute 12 quotas (6 from each gender) to the shooting competition in Paris 2024. The host nation will automatically select one male and one female athlete. in each individual event, provided that the athletes meet the qualification requirements described above.
Places in the host country will only be awarded if the athletes of the host country have not received a place quota for that event during the qualifying period. 16 universal quotas (8 for each gender) are provided to the respective NOCs for the Summer Games in Paris 2024 . NOCs may enter a maximum of two athletes in each of the individual competitions and a maximum of two mixed teams in each of the mixed team competitions consisting of the same athletes who have qualified and are eligible to compete in the individual competition.

The highest ranked athletes will receive one quota for their NOC, respecting the maximum number of athletes per NOC above. One athlete can receive only one quota for his NOC. Quotas are distributed among the NOCs, except when the quotas are reached from the Summer Games Qualification Ranking (QROG). These quotas will be awarded to individual athletes and cannot be changed by the NOC.
The final QROG list published on June 9, 2024 will be used to allocate one quota for each individual shooting event. Quotas will be awarded to the highest ranking athlete from the QROG who has not yet qualified in any sport, and provided that the NOC of the same athlete has not yet received more than one quota place in that sport.
If at a designated ISSF Championship a quota seat is occupied by an athlete who has already earned a quota seat at any previous designated ISSF Championship in any individual event, the quota seat must be awarded to the next highest ranked athlete in that event in the designated championship. ISSF.
The same rule applies when the athlete’s NOC has already received the maximum number of quotas in that sport. In the event that the number of Mixed Teams entered in the 10m Air Rifle/Air Pistol Mixed Team Event exceeds the available firing points for one Qualifying Relay, the QROG will be used to determine the final list of competitors. The total QROG scores in the respective individual 10m AR or 10m AP events posted on 9 June 2024 by both members of the mixed team will count.
If still tied, priority will be given to the mixed team with the athlete (male or female) who will score the most points according to the QROG published on June 9, 2024, in the individual standings of the corresponding mixed team competition.
The maximum number of mixed teams in a mixed team skeet event is eighteen
In the event that the number of Mixed Teams entered for the Mixed Team Skeet Competition exceeds eighteen, the QROG will be used to determine the final list of competitors. The total number of points according to the QROG in the individual skeet competition (published on June 9, 2024) of both members of the mixed team will be taken into account.
If still tied, priority will be given to the mixed team with the highest scoring competitor (male or female) according to the QROG (published June 9, 2024) in the individual skeet competition.
