Millions of viewers will be able to watch the World Cup 2022 online when it begins in November…

When the World Cup 2022 officially begins in Qatar later this year, here’s how to watch it online and on traditional TV.

The opening day of Group B matches has England taking on Iran and Wales taking on the USA. The tournament begins on Monday, November 21.

32 teams will fight in eight groups over the coming weeks to advance to the knockout phases, which will include the championship game on Sunday, December 18.

Here is all the information you require.

How to watch World Cup 2022 online in the US

While the World Cup 2022 will also be televised on Fox, FS1, Telemundo, and Universo, US fans can watch it online on Fox Sports App and Peacock Premium.

Matches will begin relatively early in the morning for most Americans because the tournament is being played in the Middle East for the first time, with matches beginning at 5 a.m. ET (2 a.m. PT) during the first week of the competition.

Fortunately, the group stage matches for the US will all begin around 2 pm.

How to watch the World Cup 2022 online in the UK. Is the World Cup on BBC or ITV?

Every World Cup game will be broadcast live on terrestrial TV in the UK as it is one of the athletic events protected by Ofcom(opens in new tab) regulations that mandate they be accessible on free-to-air television in the UK.

The rights to the fixtures are shared by BBC and ITV, and spectators can watch games online on the BBC iPlayer and ITV Hub. Closer to the competition, specifics regarding which matches will air on which channel, will be announced.

For the first eight days of the tournament, games will start at 10 am, 1 pm, 4 pm, and 7 pm, which should be quite convenient for spectators in the UK. I hope it’s okay if you listen in on the morning Zoom call with your employer!

Does USA have a chance of winning the World Cup?

The odds of the United States winning the World Cup in December are 100-1, making them an underdog.

Gregg Berhalter’s team, though, have a decent chance of making it to the knockout stages. The US will be happy if they can duplicate their performance against the Three Lions in the 2010 World Cup, where they drew 1-1, considering England is the favourite to win Group B.

Although the Welsh will be a formidable opponent with new LA Galaxy star Gareth Bale in their ranks, their initial matchup against Wales could be crucial. If the US wants to advance, they will presumably need to defeat Iran in their final match.

The betting favourites to win the tournament are Brazil, France, and England, with Spain, Germany, and Argentina also expected to do well.
